Eye Suriyanon

b. 1996 Bangkok,THA
based Glasgow, UK

Eye Suriyanon explores how the power of the collective voice can be used to negotiate systems of dominance and whether the emancipated listener’s reluctance to attend to these voices can be bypassed. The non-invasive action passively engages the listener with the aim, for us, to become better at listening to others in the domestics, public and online environment through the use of sound, performances, texts, and installations.

Suriyanon is working with machine learning applications to create audio-visual pieces that questions how the shared online collective anger that is presented in our machines. By using them as a proxy to question our own relationship with witnessing these scenes of horror.
